The Honda Accord has been a front-runner in the mid-size segment for decades. It’s undeniable reliability, high fuel efficiency, and robust feature set have kept it at the front of the pack for generations. However, some buyers may not be into the Accord and would rather go for an alternative. Here are four worthy examples that cost less than $27,000.

The Toyota Camry and Honda Accord are like Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed. They’re both great fighters in the class but present different attributes and fighting styles. To make it a little more relatable, the Accord has a sophisticated style, while the Camry is a little more ostentatious.

The Honda Accord is also more of a driver’s car, while the Toyota Camry is a little softer and more comfortable. For under $27,000, buyers can opt for the 2023 Camry LE trim level, which comes standard with a dual-zone auto climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and Apple Carplay/Android Auto. It can also get up to 39 mpg on the highway, making the Camry quite the formidable opponent.

The 2023 Subaru Legacy is a great choice over the Honda Accord for buyers that live in snow states. On top of that, it presents an almost better value proposition than the Accord as the Legacy Premium trim – which is a step above the base model – costs less than $27,000.

Although the Honda Accord is a champion in the midsize segment, its rivals do present some stiff competition.
