TUMI drops luggage collection with Anthony Ramos, Gracie Abrams

Ahead of the fall and winter season, TUMI, lifestyle and luggage brand, is launching their latest campaign — Built for the Journey. This global movement “chronicles the personal and professional journeys of four world-renowned sports and entertainment professionals aptly known as the ‘TUMI Crew.'”

The campaign first launched with pro footballer Son Heung-min on Aug. 22. As of Sept. 15, actor and recording artist, Anthony Ramos and singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams are also joining in on the fun. McLaren Formula One driver, Lando Norris will round out the campaign later in the season.

Film director Jessy Moussallem, travelled around the world (London, Paris and Puerto Rico) to bring each individuals unique stories to life and showcase the brand’s newest luggage collection, Tegra-Lite, and the McLaren collection, respectively through each campaign chapter.

“At TUMI, our goal is to ensure that each person can perform their very best when using our products — whether that’s traveling abroad on tour, going back home, or embarking on a new professional adventure,” said Victor Sanz, Creative Director of TUMI in a press release. “We use specialized design techniques and innovative materials to create modern products that offer the best in travel, resiliency, sustainability and durability. Our products withstand the test of time.”

This 60-second video highlights Ramos’ self-discovery journey to Puerto Rico and the special connection he feels to the island and his heritage. “Visiting Puerto Rico has been an experience that’s allowed me to explore my roots and connect to the place my family is from in a deeper way. TUMI’s Tegra-Lite made this trip more exceptional since I securely packed meaningful mementos from La isla to always remind me of the homeland,” Ramos said in the same press release.

Fun fact: He recorded a song inspired by his trip with TUMI, called “Maleta” which means bag in Spanish.

“I love to travel and travel is such an important part of my life. This shoot was so special because I’m taking my bag and I’m going back to the place where my ancestors are from,” Ramos exclusively told The Post. “There’s something special about traveling and taking that bag, getting on that plane and going to tap into where you’re from.”

Abrams’ mini film shines a light on her first international tour and features her journey to Paris with the durable and sustainable Tegra-Lite luggage, built for her busy life on the road. This campaign was inspired by her song, “For Real This Time.”

“Travel has changed for me in the past year since I started touring, it feels like it moves really quickly and we’re kind of all over the place but I think it made me appreciate both travel and music more simultaneously, ” Abrams exclusively told the New York Post.

“The way that I’ve been able to travel around the music has just brought me closer to people and made me feel a greater sense of community so I just feel very lucky that I get to do it right now. And I just love Paris, it’s the most magical place you’ve ever seen.”
